ATTACK: Two women and a man were injured in New Canal Street, Birmingham

Cops are hunting the man following the horror attack in Digbeth, Birmingham.

Three victims, a man aged in his 30s and two women in their 20s, were taken to hospital.

It is reported the attack happened near tourist attractions Eastside City Park and the Thinktank last Friday at around 7.30pm.

West Midlands Police have launched a major investigation into the crime but have not made any arrests at this stage.

A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "Police are investigating a disorder that took place in New Canal Street, in Birmingham, at around 7.40pm on Friday night.

"Three people were wounded by a meat cleaver.

“A man in his 30s and two women in their 20s were taken to hospital for treatment.

"Their condition is described as stable."

"No arrests have been made at this stage.

"Officers are currently investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come.

"If you have any information about the attack, or the circumstances leading up to it, please contact West Midlands Police on 101, quoting log 2333 3/8."
