Holy cow! Beef-A-Rama to celebrate all things meat in Minocqua

MINOCQUA - Where's the beef? This weekend, the answer definitely has to be Minocqua.

The annual Beef-A-Rama celebration is returning for another year of crowded streets and tasty beef on Saturday, Sept. 29.

Roasters will begin cooking their signature beef before dawn Saturday and will be ready to serve hungry festival-goers in the afternoon, following a 5K and 10K through downtown. Official Beef-A-Rama sandwich sales begin at 10 a.m. in Torpy Park and continue until all the meat is gone.

The traditional Parade of Beef will travel down Oneida Street, from Redman Realty to Torpy Park.

This year's lineup boasts over 70 vendors and a packed musical lineup for Saturday.  Other fun includes face painting at Fern & Folk Spa and throughout town, the Minocqua Lions Club Beer Garden at Torpy Park and a beef eating contest at Torpy Park.

There will be shuttle buses running continuously between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., with stops at Trig's RV parking lot, Lakeland Union High School, Hribar/Truck Country and Builders First Source.
