Bring on the meat sweats.
TGI Fridays is beefing up its menu — literally. The restaurant upgraded more than half of its menu last year and is continuing to make changes with the menu's new Fire-Grilled Meats found in the Choose Two Meats section.
The new additions include a 6-oz. Premium Center-Cut Sirloin, a 14-oz. Bone-In New York Strip, Dragon-Glazed Salmon, Bacon-Wrapped Grilled Shrimp, and Parmesan-Crusted Chicken. Also new to the menu is Fridays' "30% meatier" Half Rack of Big Ribs. All these items follow last year's introduction of the Fridays Burger Bar, a line of burgers that all feature a blend of chuck and brisket. According to a press release, the Burger Bar caused the restaurant to see a 15% sales increase.
Fridays declared in 2017 that the dining chain would change make some changes to its menu so that more focus would be on dishes with fresh and all-natural ingredients.
"Any iconic legacy brand must continuously evolve to stay relevant and successful," Fridays' Chief Marketing Officer Stephanie Perdue said in a statement. "As such, Fridays is focused on being a unique dining destination, which means offering high-quality, craveable menu items you can't find anywhere else."
Customers can choose from up to 15 different combinations on the Choose Two Meats menu all priced at $14.99.
